GRO-PROTECTION SOLUTIONS GLUE PROTECTION BARRIER

First things first, I'd like to declare that in my personal experience, GLUE IN WEAVES get a bad rap. It's not just us amateurs and clients who think so. I recently had the honored opportunity to be styled by Ms Angelea Stevens (Renowned stylist to the stars and cast member of LA HAIR on WE tv) and while chatting about the basics such as 100% human hair vs that dreadful "pre-packaged" hair we all know and can AFFORD and glue-ins vs sew-ins, she agreed with me that there is NOTHING wrong with gluing in your tracks as long as you manage and maintain (and of course remove) the style properly. Angela then put me up on the fad of glue barrier products, and the search for the brand I felt worked best for me was ON!

Aside from the fact that for years, we've been literally pulling our hair from the roots in an attempt to extract those stubborn super-glued-in monster-tracks; glue in weaves have been an inexpensive, quick, and effective way for us to go from Kunte Kinte to Beyonce in an hour. In this work-a-day world filled with single moms and professional go-getters, NOW is not the time to throw in the towel on our beloved Natty's Glue!

A few years back, QUICK WEAVES hit the market and took the weaving-world by storm. As you know, the difference between a quick weave and a typical glue-in is that while a glue in weave is usally installed part by part and track by track, a quick weave allows you to skip the tawdry and daunting task of parting your hair row by row in order to glue the tracks to the scalp.

Along with the introduction of quick weaves came a new set of drawbacks  for the glue-in-weave. Yes, installing the hair was a much quicker task to tackle hence the name QUICK-WEAVE, but it led to significantly escalated difficulties when it came time to take the tracks out! I mean, we were already bidding Fare-Well, Bon Voyage AND Sayonara to our sides by the comb fulls, so what type of Ostrich would I be looking like once I emerged from this so-called quick weave? Before I found Gro-Protect , I would'nt even wanna imagine!

I tried several protection barrier products before Go-Protect Solutions but Im not gonna name them here, because compared to Go-Protect , they were all inferior products that didnt cut the cake for me in anyway. Some of them left ratchetly thick white residue on your hair that was visible under the track's surface whenever the wind blew the wrong way. Others kept the glue from sticking to my hair for sure, but it seemed just as harder (if not harder) to get the glue barrier out of my hair as it had been to get the glue itself out- how redundant! Then I came across the Gro-Protect Solutions and it was a match made in heaven! Please note that I am not affiliated with Morning Glory or Gro-Protect products in anyway;except as a highly satisfied customer and a  highly outspoken blogger. Here are the things I liked about the product the most-

  1. Its Clinically Tested
  2. The product boast all natural ingredients; including tea tree oil; chamomile, and Aloe Vera; all natural extracts that for years have been renowned for keeping hair strong, smooth and healthy; even keeping those pesky head lice away (quiet as its kept; head lice can effect ANY type or texture of hair)
  3. Simple to use, yet effective- To use GPS glue barrier, simply wash, dry and mold hair (you can wrap, braid or lay the hair according to what works for your length and texture) Then blow dry (hair must be completely dry when you apply GPS to necessary areas)Once your hair is completely dry, apply GPS wherever you plan to use glue. Blow dry and set the GPS into
  4. air with warm water. Tracks will be out within 3-5minutes HOWEVER do not use any other shampoo or product on the hair until tracks are completely out,  otherwise your natural hair may tangle into the tracks.
  5. Comes in 3 colors- clear, sienna red and blackberry!
  6. Works Efficiently- Although it  was quite easy to get the tracks out when I was ready to, they have yet to come out on me on their own which is quite amazing don't you think?
  7. your hair (takes approx.8-12 min, again depending on texture and amount of hair) Then Install the tracks! That's it!
  8. Easy to remove- When you're too through with the style (or when the style is TOO THROUGH period; which ever comes first, simply rinse hait with warm water!
In 40 minutes flat (and that's WITH these kids in my nerves) Im done with my do, and it'll take even less time for me to take it so...Whats the moral of the story?? Be lazy, cheap and sexy! Dont be in your head for hours and dont he in any debt for dollars! Do-it-yourself with ease using Gro-Protect Solutions!
